
The Homeless Veterans' Stand Down is a weekend long event provides shelter, food, information, and services to homeless or at risk veterans and their families.
Friday, February 21 - Dinner and overnight services
Saturday, February 22 - Over night services, housing services, employment assistance, clothing items, VA health screenings, VA benefits, legal services, food, haircuts, vet center services, and many other service providers
Sunday, February 23 - Breakfast for Saturday's overnight guests and final departure
Services and times vary by day, please call ahead.
Veterans will check-in beginning Friday afternoon and continue through Saturday, with the Stand Down concluding Sunday morning.
Homeless and at risk Veterans and their families throughout South Central Pennsylvania are welcome to the event to access the many services that provide support and hope for a better future. Free transportation is provided for Veterans to attend the event
Volunteers needed: We currently need ambassadors to provide friendship and support to individual veterans during the event, and volunteers to include assistance with outreach, transportation, and other activities.
Donations: Donations of men’s and women’s underwear, long sleeve shirts, jeans and khaki pants, t-shirts, sweatshirts, winter coats and other cold weather clothing items are needed and appreciated!
