On March 16th the Diversity Forum continued our theme of Becoming Allies with a specific focus on "Stepping In". People are regularly being harassed or attacked because of who they are. How can we be prepared to intervene, and do so in a way that respects and empowers the person being targeted?
This month Ann Van Dyke, Aaysha Noor and Pat Allen from the Community Responders Network shared their expertise on this topic, and engaged us in role-plays for how to effectively and sensitively intervene in these types of situations. They also provided guidance for how organizations can "step in" and play a role as an ally in these situations as well.
Thank you to Widener Law Commonwealth for hosting us.
