On July 20th the Diversity Forum concluded our theme of Becoming Allies with a specific focus on "Staying Engaged". Working for social change can be exhausting, so how can aspiring allies stay engaged for the long haul?
This month our speakers addressed how aspiring allies can welcome discomfort, learn from our mistakes and practice self-care:
- Micaiah Smith-Morris, Central Penn College
- Farzana Safiullah, National Resource Center on Domestic Violence
- Nick Miron, Roots of Justice
Thank you Shaashawn Dial-Snowden for emceeing, and to Widener Law Commonwealth for hosting us!
