Pre-Reception for Race Against Racism
For the first time ever, YWCA Association Board President Marcia Dix invites YOU to an exclusive pre-reception for the Race Against Racism on March 12! This free pre-reception, hosted by Perry Media Group, will be held at The Mill in Hershey from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
We want to raise awareness about the Race Against Racism.
We want you to help us spread the word. Join us for a happy hour style event, featuring complimentary hors d’oeuvres.
We know that direct forms of racism are illegal. What we also know is that the legacy of racism still exists; some policies and practices continue to give opportunity to some while limiting access for others.
Eliminating Racism. Empowering Women. Our mission-based programs serve to design client specific road maps to equal opportunity. They serve to break barriers and to build bridges. We will get up and do the work until injustice is rooted out, until institutions are transformed, until the world sees people of color, and women and girls, the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable.
We seek a just community for all, because the future deserves us all. Our power comes from all who join us. We are thought leaders. We are fearless movers. And we are committed. Our voices rise together in the spirit of inclusivity. But we cannot do it alone.
The YWCA would love to have you with us on March 12 to share our excitement about the Race Against Racism and Humanity Festival in April; we hope to see you there!
Although there is no registration fee for our pre-reception, we ask that you consider contributing a suggested donation of $20 that will pre-register you for the race; that’s a 30% discount!
