 PAATH to Success Mentors 

The YWCA’s Violence Intervention and Prevention Department is seeking adult mentors to participate in a new, innovative human trafficking prevention initiative: PAATH to Success. This trauma-informed mentoring program targets child victims of commercial sexual exploitation and at-risk youth ages 12-17. PAATH to Success mentors provide support to the youth, with the goal of decreasing risk factors and risk-taking behaviors while increasing positive social supports and social capital. Mentors will be provided with extensive training and support throughout the 15-month commitment period. The YWCA’s Violence Intervention and Prevention Department is seeking youth to participate in a new, innovative human trafficking prevention initiative: PAATH to Success. This trauma-informed mentoring program targets child victims of commercial sexual exploitation and at-risk youth ages 12-17. Youth will meet with their adult mentor four hours a week for 15 months, with the goal of decreasing risk factors and risk-taking behaviors while increasing positive social supports and social capital. All mentors are carefully screened, interviewed, pass background checks, and complete extensive training. Community Service

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is unable to accommodate supervision requirements involved with mandatory community service.
